More Information

Product Information

The AT-GS924MX features 24 x 10/100/1000T ports, 2 combo ports (10/100/1000T or 100/1000X SFP) and 2 X 10G SFP+ Stacking/User ports.

CentreCOM® GS900MX/MPX Series switches are cost-effective, fully managed, and stackable. The switches in this series can serve as an AMF node when an AMF Master switch is available in the network, which helps to reduce network running costs by automating and simplifying many day-to-day tasks.

Virtual Chassis Stacking (VCStack)

Using Allied Telesis VCStack™ in your network allows multiple switches to appear as a single virtual chassis.

In normal operation, this virtual chassis acts as a single switch, simplifying management. The diagram shows link aggregation between the core VCStack and the edge switches. With link aggregation across ports on different virtual chassis members, there is no perceptible disruption in the case of a link failure, and the full bandwidth of the network remains available. Fast failover ensures absolutely minimal network downtime in the event of a problem.

VCStack and link aggregation provide a solution where network resources are spread across the virtual chassis members, ensuring device and path resiliency. Virtualization of the network core ensures uninterrupted access to information when needed.

An Allied Telesis VCStack can even be spread over long distance, as the option of fiber stacking connectivity means that stack member do not have to be collocated, but can be kilometers apart. A long distance VCStack is perfect for distributed network environments or data-mirroring solutions.

Ethernet Protection Switched Ring (EPSRing)

Your need to distribute the core of your network may be driven by any of a number of reasons — connecting a campus, providing disaster recovery, uniting disparate departments, providing services in an MxU environment. Whatever the driver, distributed network core solutions will always require high performance and high availability, without adding unnecessary layers of complexity to the network or its management.

Allied Telesis Ethernet Protection Switched Ring (EPSRing) solutions provide high performance, high reliability, flexible, scalable distributed network cores. The core can be as small or as large as you need. It can be connected by copper or fiber, or even copper and fiber in the same ring. The core bandwidth can be anything from 100Mbps to multiples of 10Gbps. The recovery time when links or nodes go down is extremely fast — as low as 50 ms, making this solution ideal for the provision of converged voice, video and data services.

Allied Telesis Management Framework (AMF)

Managing network infrastructure is time intensive, costly, and has traditionally required expensive, third-party applications to effectively manage larger networks. Cloud computing and converged infrastructures deliver a great deal of business value to the enterprise, but they also add complexity. In turn, networks must be more fluid and evolve at increasingly greater speeds in order to keep pace with the modern applications and service delivery models that are driving that complexity. For everything from virtualization to mobility and BYOD, networks must be able to keep pace with business. Allied Telesis Management Framework™ (AMF) helps IT do just that by greatly reducing the time and cost of managing network infrastructure.

AMF is an embedded technology native to Allied Telesis switches that delivers real and immediate value to businesses. Many enterprises see SDN as the ‘silver bullet’ to simplifying and optimizing the performance of their environment. While SDN may deliver agility and flexibility – which is particularly relevant for data centers and large enterprise organizations – the management and control of the network itself provides ongoing challenges. The most pressing needs of many organisations demand a single, converged infrastructure that can be managed as a single entity, reducing complexity and TCO and allowing more to be done with less.
